You shouldn't let that bother you. I'm sure they didn't come that easy, I know mine didn't. I've shot my share of small bucks(6 to be exact spikes and 4&6pts) and still have all, they were the trophy of the day at the time. and all a learning experience with good memories. In those years you were allowed only 1 deer either sex. After you get a few under your belt, and gain some knowlege your standards do change, as you did to bigger and better. For me now for many years, the challenge is bigger and better. I find enjoyment watching and passing on small bucks these days. It's a good and fun way to learn more things about them.

There is something so unexplainable about the passion of the antler. I edmit I am an antler junkie. Don't know where it comes from, it's just something from within me.

I've seen some big cut off bases that were put on belt buckle plates. They had the porus (attached to the head) side facing out. They look pretty cool. You could also make some buttons for your camo shirts.
