ants!

Ok here is one for you guys and girls, how the heck do you get ants from invading...what products have you tried? And success? I will list what I have done:
Bleached the kitchen 3 times
Sprayed indoor/outdoor insect killer at least 10 times
Make sure there isn't a crumb anywhere around every night
Lifted every brick on the board of the house I could to spray under


What else can I do, everyone I ask says, well its that time of the year... but they honestly bug the crap out of me.. if anyone has ever expieranced this help me out...I don't want to have to spend $ on the extermination so who know... please help!!

For indoor use, get Diatomecious earth. There are indoor ant control products that feature this, as it is NOT a chemical and is non-toxic. Iuse it in my kitchen. DE is microscopic "skeletons" of very tiny sea creatures called diatoms. It is extremely coarse, and literally knaws away at the ant's exoskeleton.

If that by chance does not work, Try Terro liquid ant baits. It is a self contained package that the ants come to and bring the liquid back to the nest and wipes out the whole colony. I had trouble this spring and it did the job for me.

I used OxyAcetylene on a mound that formed outside my back yard door. I had those ants that are brown headed with a red abdomen...(anyone know what kind they are ...not fire ants which are red all over and live next door). Anyways, I took a styrofoam cup, made a hole in the bottom to avoid sticking the torch in the hole and knocking dirt into it, held it for about 5 minutes, then lit the torch again and put it near the hole (while wearing ear plugs and a facesheild of course). About 3 ft.circumfrence exploded and rose up 2 inches. They never came back. I had tried to dig them up and kill the queen but even after digging 6 ft down, they still came back. ....Not this time

All I find here is those damn jumping balloons, junk car ads, people offering concrete work and cakes! Kinda makes you wonder if they actually do good work or if you will end up with a seriously crooked wall like my neighbor's. He never bothered to use a level and one end of the fence drops about 3 inches. He actually got mad when this was pointed out to him.
