Really - deer ice cream

Hmmmm......I dunno.....I LOVE venison, and I LOVE ice cream (GOOD ice cream that is....you know, the kind with obscene amounts of butterfat in it that hardens your arteries just by looking at it), but the two of them TOGETHER?

I tell you what.........give me a marinated venison backstrap cooked RARE over hickory coals and slighty smoked, and then when I've recover a bit from that meat stupor, then give me 4 scoops of chocolate almond ice cream from our local dairy in these parts (OBERWEIS, for those of you from the Chicagoland area!)

I've had Oberweis ice cream a long time ago but not that flavor. I assume it is still around? I wonder if I could find it in the Rockford area

Well, I'm out, there isn't a store for more than 50 miles.

Well if you ever head in this way, make sure you bring a cooler with some dry ice! It's that good!!!!

I found that after I posted. It appears to be available in Rockford & Dekalb. I will be in Dekalb Tuesday it looks like. I will check it out. Thanks
