Is there anybody out there?

Postby shaman » Wed Oct 22, 2008 2:01 am

Are there any Kentucky hunters out there?

A few years ago, I was asked by a popular maker of turkey calls to get all my turkey hunting friends to sign up on their forum, and I had to reply that all my turkey hunting friends did not own computers.

Yep, that's me.   D&DH asked me to come shake my rattle over here as a Stump Sitter.

What part of KY are you from?

A few.  Go outside and wave.  I'll see if I can see you through the binos.

Hello shaman  I'm also from Ky. I live in Independence, and I hunt in Campbell, Kenton, and Bracken counties. I just found the forum and also was wondering how many hunters from Ky were on the site. How did you fare this year?

Hey back!

Thanks for dropping by and saying hello.  Grab a spot on the log and some coffee.

I'm hunting in Bracken, right on the Pendleton line. There's a few of us here.

Luck?

Me-- an 8-pointer and a button
#2 Son -- a doe and a spike (His first year on his own as an adult)
#3 Son -- a doe ( his first year as a Yute)

We saw lots of doe, and lots of immature males.  My 8 pointer was the only decent buck that showed up all season.

How did you do?

My buddy and I had a good day of hunting in your neck of the woods. Mike got his best deer so far(a nice 9 pointer) and I got a nice doe and a 9 pointer w/a drop tine. I posted the pictures on the Post your 2008 Harvest Pics(pg. 14). Its good to talk to you. I thought it was really cool that out of all the hunters out there that we are actually hunting so close to each other and I found you on the forum. I hope we get to hunt on the that farm again so maybe we can meet in person.
