GROUND BLIND HUNTS

Postby BAMABINFORD » Sun Jul 04, 2010 8:09 am

i HAVE USED THE GROUND BLIND BEFOR WITH GOOD SUCCESS, IN FACT SAW MORE GAME THAT DAY THAN FROM MOST OTHER LADDER STAND HUNTS. THIS YEAR I WILL USE A GROUND BLIND ALOT AS I SERIOUSLY INJURED MY RIGHT KNEE AND WILL BE HEALING STILL. I CARRY A SHOT CHAIR WITH A BACK TO SIT INSIDE THE BLIND, I HAVE USED IT IN BOW SEASON TOO. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET POSITIONED JUST RIGHT BUT WAS SUCCESSFUL. THE MOST DIFFICULT ASPECT WAS GETTING THE RIGHT DISTANCE FROM THE REAR OF THE TENT AS THE PULL ARM WOULD RUB OR PUSH AGIANST THE TENTON THE DRAW. [:'(] THE REMOVAL OF LEAVES AND TRASH IS A GOOD TIP. I CARRY A SMALL RAKE WITH ME TO SET UP AND SOMTIMES USE IT TO INHANCE A TRAIL TO THE TENT. INCREASES MY ABILITY TO BE QUIET. WORKS GOOD ON A FAKE SCRAPE TOO. [:)] MAKE SURE TO CLOSE THE REAR DOOR, I HAD A DEER COME RIGHT UP TO THE REAR DOOR TO SMELL ME.
