First Handgun Deer

Taken this year in first firearms season in Illinois with a Ruger Blackhawk in 45 colt with Cor-Bon ammo.

Nice buck!.  How did the round perform?  Did you get an exit wound?  I have a TC Contender with a 410/45 Colt barrel that I was think about putting a scope on and seeing how it groups.

Deer made it about 120 yards, bullet broke two ribs, went all the way through the right lung and stopped inside the stomach, so no exit wound.

Congratulations thats a great buck . I got my first pistol buck last year with a ruger 44 and what a rush that was . Couldnt get one close enough for the pistol this year but did manage to get my first with my 44 leveraction rifle .

thats a nice buck , i bet it was a real rush with a pistol.
i have only kill 1 with pistol and it was with a black powder 44 new army repl. but it drop him in his tracks ,broke his back.
