how many stands are to many?

sounds like your trees have a higher metal to wood ratio than most. [;)]

Every year I say ...that's the last one...but....drives Mr B. nuts...he hunts out of the same stand year in and years out....Though he has said the new gun blind looks pretty comfy[;)]...Woodsy ...gosh sometimes...well swoosh..right over my head[:o]...if you meant to carry them ..they stay up...or are built...and I carry every thing in on foot...except two and that took the truck ...tractor and both of us[:)]

The only way I'd ever feel I had too many stands is if I couldn't hunt in each one at least one time during a season. That will never be a problem for me.

LOLOL Dang! I can see why most of you guys/gals have trespassers! Their just trying to help you accomadate all the stands you people have strung all over the woods...

I thought We had alot (10) on 2000 acres.. Boy was I wrong or what lol

We have 22 sets spread over 3 places that add up to 130 acres and always have a climber and some lock-ins ready to go if needed. I think you could get away with more if you have the timber. In my opinion, the more options you have for different winds the better.

Couldn't agree more.  I have some sets that are no more than 20 or 30 yards from each other, mainly for different wind directions, travel patterns, etc.  You never can have too many as long as you don't over-hunt any of them!  Best of luck!

You should be able to go from stand to stand with out leaving the trees. Just step from one stand to the other!
