I upgraded to a faster new bow two years ago after I had a stroke, got it for my rehab; Darton, Pro 3000 at 6in. brace, 60lbs bow at 29in. Also shoot with Hoyt TR and Bear Element, plus a collection of old Bear bows.

I got a Parker Hurricane crossbow in the Spring. My injured shoulder prevents me from shooting (or even drawing) any of my compounds, recurves, or longbow. The crossbow is more accurate at a greater distance than any of my old bows, but it still just takes a tiny limb to deflect the arrow off target, so it does share similarities with other string-launched projectiles.
I look forward to getting back into the woods during archery season, something I've been missing terribly since the wreck.
wisbowhunter.. how do you like the rage 3 blades?? This will be my first year using them, so I don't know much bout them yet.....
I am not him, but my father in law used them last season and was impressed. Told me they pretty much open the deer right up... huge exit holes.
I shot either a JK Traditions R/D longbow or a mid70's Bear Kodiak Magnum my father in law gave me. Both fling cedar shafts with either 3 blade Woodsmans or Snuffers.
Happy hunting everyone!
Aim for the center of the target... the center of an aspirin is the same size as the center of a basketball. The difference is mental.
