Feathers

Im going to be getting my arrows re-fletched in the near future and im going to have the guy put feathers on em. I just have one question really, what is the difference in Feather leangth? 4" Opposed to 5" etc... Im gonna buy the Gateway Right Wing Feathers, Just wondering what might work best for me. Still learning a lot about archery lol. Thanks for any info!!

The longer the feather the more it is supposed to stabilize the arrow, if you shoot a big broadhead you might want the longer one's but if you shoot a modern or mechanical head a 4 inch feather will work great for you.

I've never tryed the 5", but I have shot 4" and 3" both shoot very well for me 29" draw. I was told the 3" wouldn't work for outdoor shooting. So I bought some and they flew great even with big fixed BH. A friend of mine uses the 5" feathers, but his draw is 32" and I think he needs the extra length to stabilize the longer shafts. You on the other hand are shooting 27" I think?
