Thank you WW...I was close ...string Notch ..not knock..[&:]...Any how thanks for the reply....I always got tense unstringing and restringing the recurve I use to shoot...seemed like an awlful lot of pressure for a relative small amount of wood...even though I knew the actual distrubution of pressure wasn't actually on the notch it's self..visual perceptions....Badger
Ooooh......NOW I get it.
Actually on most modern production bows, they all now have reinforced string notch's, which also lets you shoot these bows with fast flight string.
