Red dot sights-anyone?

Anyone use red dot sights on their bow? Looking for pros and cons. Also, can I take the one of my bow and mount it on my shotgun? I've seen Barska and True Glo models that look just like the models for guns.

Took the red dot sight off my crossbow, didn't like the red dot method way of shooting.  I like having the crosshairs and the magnification that goes with the regular scopes.  It could be I'm just partical to shooting that way since that's all I've shot.  The red dot just didn't feel right.
