How do you guys hunt big woods deer

I pick my stands according to terrain features such as saddles, ridges and benches. I will also try to find a good rub line and set up along that usually about 100 yards out from a suspected bedding area, closer if I'm using a bow. I have a spot where two mountains come together and a ridge on one runs into a ridge on the other at about a 45 degree angle it's about the best stand that I hunt in big woods. The area I hunt is loaded with benches and along these there are little knobs that sort of poke out a little farther than the rest of the bench and I will a lot of times find beds on these. I think the deer lay there looking down the mountain for danger. My dad has taken deer by still hunting ridges and looking down on benches, personally I don't have the patients for that but it can work if you do it right.
