2 deer opening day

Postby dxthunter57 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 4:49 am

opening day was the 13th and i got to my stand
around 8 30
a massive 11 pointer came running in and i shot him at 23 yards
he weighed in at 197 pounds and measured in at 165
i had never seen that deer on spotting camera in my life
we had seen a bigger 14 pointer coming to a food plot at the western side of pour propery and i put my stand up and had a pretty good chance at taking that deer
that evening a twig snapped and i looked back and saw antlers thats all i saw
they were massive
the big 14 pointer walked into the field at about 45 yards
i knew i had been pracitcing at 3d shoots all winter an knew i could make that shot
i placed the arrow right behind the shoulder and sent him crashin down just 15 yards were he got hit
he weighed in at 237
and scores about 178
wat a good dasy of huntign

what state do you live in that allows ya to take 2 bucks in one day?

Maybe it's like a combo license deal, i don't know how many states have those licenses, we do in MI it allows you to take 2 bucks, one has to have 4 or more points on one side of the rack though. The other just has to have at least 3" spikes.
