From the ground I can hold an 8 inch group at 40 to 50 yards, which I will admit is outside my comfort zone at anything other than a target, but if you can narrow that group down to 5- 6 inches, or smaller, then you ought to be able to slide them all in one beside the other at much closer ranges. I also "Robin Hooded" one at 30 yards, and thankfully I only ruined one arrow, out of my freshly bought dozen.
I saw Lee Lakosky shoot an elk on the last day of his hunt from 60yds. Which was pretty risky, but in his arrogance at getting a bigger bull, he could not get that one bull to come in any closer. I think that trophy fever got hold of him.
