Fall hunts

Postby Sailfish » Fri Jun 20, 2008 2:06 pm

I just found out I was a recipient of a special opportunity hunt.
Every year the state opens up certain parcels of land to hunters to help control the deer population.
I applied to this one nearby and got selected!!!

It's archery only (no rifle's or firearms are usually allowed on this parcel).
I was one of 54 selected in a random drawing for 34,000 acres!!!
Thats like 600 acres pp or something.

I'm pretty happy I have never been involved in such a fortunate draw.
It is early in the season (If I recall it was first of October) so it will be VERY VERY hot, but, totally worth the shot (pun intended).

Hopefully i'll pull a B&C out of there and get to post some pics(show msbadger that it is possible to do LOL) on here
