Recurve Target Bow Package just for fun.

Hello,

My wife and I like to do all sorts of various things. She does not hunt, but I am an avid rifle and compound bow hunter. I am in no way prepared to take the step up to hunting with a recurve bow.

However, I would really like to get a very basic low end starter recurve bow package that she and I can shoot in the backyard just for fun. I am thinking under $100, draw weight around 25-35 lbs, and of decent quality, but nothing high end. This bow would just be for friendly competition between the two of us, and target practice for fun.

Any suggestions? Not finiding what I am looking for browsing the net.

But I warn you....you start shooting that recurve, and as you get used to it you will start thinking...."Gee, it'd be neat to get a deer with this".....and then you're HOOKED!!!!

The 2 pounds of bow that you have in your hand as compared to the compound that feels like you're carrying a bowling ball around has something to do with it too! [:D]

I recant my prior statement. I did find this:

I guess if I get this I will just need an arm band, shooting fingers, and arrows. I assume I will need to shoot wooden arrows rather than carbon? How do you know what length to get?

Okay, I talked to Adam at Macs Archery there, and he answered all of my questions. I am going to go with a traditional target longbow set at 30 lbs. It comes finished, with a string, and bow stringer for $75. It is made out of Red Oak backed with linen. I will keep you guys posted.
