I really like this ammunition.  I shoot 165 grain .300 WSM loads. 
 
Fusion ammo is one of the less expensive brands out there so that's a big plus given rising costs. 
 
I've taken four deer with it 15 - 220 yards.  Have not recovered any bullets as all passed through so can't speak to weight retention.  My Savage shoots the ammo well, or at least as well as I need it to.

I shoot these fusions as well in my 30.06 and am very happy with them. Took a mule deer at 200 and several whitetails closer. When sighting in for the mule deer I tried winchester's fail safe and good not get a group to save my butt.

ranwin33 I shoot a savage model 110 .300 win mag am looking for ammo that shoots good out of it right now only thing that shoots good is the expensive federal premium noslar partitions.... Have you noticed this with your savage...
 
Maybe I will have to try the fusion.

That's the best shooting factory loads I found for my 300WSM. I wound up hand loading to get the tightest groups, but I keep a box of the Fusion 165's for emergencies.

I can't complain about them - took a nice buck this year at near 200 yards with them.  They do the job.

I shoot them out of my Remington 760 308 cal as I have not found a handload that is acceptable yet.  I think I'm expecting to much from the gun as it is not a bolt action but a pump.  The 150 and 165 are shooting almost the same point of impact at 100 yards and the group size is about 1 1/2".  Performance on deer was good with the exit about 3X as big as the entrance but all harvests under 80 yards.

I took a doe this year with a .30-30 using 170 grain Federal Fusions. The deer was about 75 yards away. The entrance hole was oblong -- it looked like the bullet hit some brush on the way to the deer and tumbled. It took out two ribs on the way in, and the bones diverted the bullet back through the abdominal cavity. It hit the hip bone just below the socket joint and came to rest under the deer's hide. Excellent performance.

Penetration -- 23 inches.
Retained weight -- 161 grains (94.7%).

That is only the second deer I've ever shot with a factory load. All the others have been with handloads.

I have used federal fusion the last 2 seasons in my 30-06. They group very well in my gun. I shot a doe last year and could not find the entrance hole yet her opposite side was tore clean open. I really like this ammo.

This is my first time using Federal Fusion in my 280. I shoot well with it in 140 grain at the range. Just hope shoots as well at a deer
Then the 280 is not heard much here in Florida hard to find ammo for it. Unless I order it

So far I heard nothing but negative remarks about the Fusion ammo. I did do 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards using an Allen shooting bag. I sighted in at 2 inches over bulls eye. I was told this would be dead on at 300 yards. Don't think I will ever shoot that far here in Florida
