Scout for deer while bear Hunting?

Bear season is open in mass now, anyone get out in the woods?  Its hard to get bear seeing as you cant bait them.  I like to get out and sit in the tree scouting for deer, and if a bear comes along its just luck, but good luck at that.  Anyone else use bear season to scout?

i was in the stand hoping to see a bear but didnt.  i had a banana while in the tree and put the peel on a branch next to me.  Well the next day my friend went to the same spot and sat in a tree prolly 20 yards from the one i was in.  He had a black bear come in and climb the tree i was in and ate that banana peel.  He said it was nuts, he didnt get a shot though.
