Ok, so this is the first buck I killed with my Bow. Its an 11 pt. with a relitivly small rack considering the pts, but I am still totally thrilled about it. I hunt in Oakland Michigan, and this guy came in on 11-16-2008 with his nose in the air smelling some doe urine sents I had haning from the trees below. I stood up to get ready for him, when I heared him behind me and then I accedently stepped on a spare arrow I had sittling on the ground of my stand. This spooked him, and he jumped righ into a clearing and I was able to get a shot. The arrow passed through, and after following a heavy blood trail, I found him and claimed my prize. This is only my third deer, as I just started hunting last year. I got a 7pt last year from the same stand with my Mossberg 535, and a doe from the same stand this year with my bow, durring the early season doe hunt. It has been amazing, and I am totally hooked. Hunting is allways on my mind.

Thanks Dingwell.

And, yes Demoderby4 you can hunt in Oakland MI I live in Oakland Township, which is in Oakland county, about 5 miles north of Rochester if you are familiar with the area. We are just north of the shotgun line, so I can use my shotgun, and bow here.

Check this DNR link its has a map of the riffle shotgun lines. Your way south of it.

Below that line(the shotgun one in blue), you are only allowed to use shotguns, and I am below that line. In the area of Oakland County that I live, because of population and such, you are only allowed to shoot shotguns north of mead road. I live about 3 miles north of this road.

Ok now I understand, its a township rule. Your a lucky man to get to hunt that area. There's tons of deer and not alot of pressure.

Yea, I dont take it for gran it at all that I am allow to hunt there, and there are a ton of deer. Close by me there are a couple of hunters, but so far it seems as thought there have been plenty of deer to go around.
