Keep it thick!! Is it a lower lying woods? Some water? I wouldn't do a whole lot if you can find a heavy trail leading to the corn I would set a stand now and not come back until season. Or wait til the day you plan on hunting and hang your stand. Try to have a stand for a couple of wind directions make sure your scent is always blowing away from the woods and you should be good to go man. The less you do there the better. I hunt a similar location and I save it for November because a lot of doe bed there and I try to catch a buck cruising for them. When I sit in it I try to sit all day. Good luck.
