Deer "harvest" from MN D&DH Readers

Postby Patriot » Sat Nov 22, 2008 5:26 pm

Alright MN D&DH readers!  How many deer have y'all put down this year?

I'll start:

2 bucks so far.  2.5 year old 8 pointers.  One with bow, one with shotgun.  (My best year in 20 seasons).

Thanks to MN laws allowing party hunting, my tag is actually still open.  I'll see if I can add to the total over Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Won't get out again til then.

I ended up getting my biggest buck yet it is a narrow 7 pointer but it was really heavy, I would hate to guess at the weight but all in all it bested my previous.  The deer in NW MN by Pembina are very happy that my friend aned I can not hit running deer to save our lives.  I bet we saw 10-12 a day for the first weekend, I missed a big 8-10 pointer that I would have definitely had mounted, now I have a lot more motivation to go practicing next summer.
