ATV's with Power Steering

Postby ranwin33 » Tue Nov 11, 2008 9:16 am

Anyone have one of those new ATV's that have power steering.  Just wondering how they work and if there is that much of a difference.  I think Yamaha and Honda make them.

I don't own one, but have driven one in the woods... All i have to say is, VERY NICE !!  Almost effortless steering when traveling slowly through the woods.

My brother got an 08 Grizzley 700 for Christmas.

I've got to say, the power steering makes a huge difference.  Really makes riding an ATV a pleasure.

I sold my 660 grizz and got a new 700 grizz with power steering.  Man what a HUGE difference! Tight one handed turns are a pleasure now and long rides aren't near as tiring.

All I have to say are these new gadgets are all nice but for plowing threw the woods the older keep it simple model's are much less of a headache IMO. I own a BRUTE FORCE 650I and the thing is nice but with the independent suspension like whats on most now they all have them cheap rubber boots at the nuckle and it seems every darn time I'm in the woods one of these is getting ripped and they are not easy to replace or inexpensive for no more than what they are [:@]. I have all that after market steel under armour and it has not helped protect these boots. So now I find myself pussy footin around because I don't want to damage these things anymore. Sometimes the old straight axle doesn't seem so bad[8|]
