Opening Week Report

Finally got out of the office around noon on Wednesday.  Was able to hunt Wednesday evening, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
 
Deer were scarce, we had a lot of nuts dropping, hickory and oaks.  Figure deer had probably found some oaks dropping acorns and that's where they were. 
 
Saw a few small bucks, non-shooters, and several small does, but nothing we wanted to put an arrow in. 
 
All-in-all, even though nothing went down, it was a nice week.  Weather was great, although probably not for hunting. 
 
I'll be out of action for the next few weeks, daughter getting married October 4, so have to stick around and help with final prep until then.
