Got out for an hr lastnight night..4pm to 5pm...kicked up 4 doe under my stand when walking in and saw a 4pt at about 4:40...Saturday will be the next time i can hunt..

Well Massman sounds like your still seeing good activity, hope you get lucky.  I'm taking time out this week to scout, was out this morning.  Kicked up 4 doe and one 4 pointer, all on the fringes of the field close to the residential areas as I suspected.  Going out scouting again on Thursday morning, hope to have new stands selected by then and the hunting Friday and Sunday.

Thanks buddy, I have put in a lot of time and I'm sure it will pay off...if not in an actual kill then in the experience.  Still it would be nice to harvest something, preferably a buck.  I'll be out tomorrow morning for part II of the scout.  Good luck to you as well.  Keep us posted on your hunts, its great that your still seeing some great bucks...maybe one of them will venture south into my area, lol!

Back at the county park again this morning...would have preferred to hunt the afternoon set as I believe they are moving less in the mornings, but had other commitments this weekend.  Saw three does come running by about 60 yards, was hoping a buck may have been chasing them, but no such luck.  That was it for the mornings hunt.

Went out Sat...2-5pm...saw around 30 doe...i got out after work on monday..3-5pm...saw a doe at 4:10...after about 7min 8pt comes in after her...he run her away from me but 2mins later saw her run out in front of me with him and another 8pt hot on her....grunted them both in one at a time to about 25 30 yards in front of me but never had a shot...2nd RUT IS ON!!!

I have to laugh...I have got to be in the one spot in Jersey where they've all but disappeared, lol.  Massman great action, wish i had it...and funny thing is we are probably hunting no less than 5 miles from each other.  Too bad th0se 8 points did not come in closer, but glad to hear the 2nd rut is on!  Hunted the edge of bedding area yesterday morning at the park...no action..that is until I got off stand of course and managed to bumb 4 doe on the northern edge of the bedding area...grrrr this is one hell of a frustrating season for me!
