got an email from the DEC they are not expanding the antler restrictions to any new areas this year.I for one am glad they went that way.Heres the email Dear NY Big Game,
Many of you may recall that in April, DEC proposed a regulation change that would have expanded the existing antler restriction program to include eight additional wildlife management units (WMUs) in the northern and western Catskills. Following review of the public comment received during the regulatory process, DEC has withdrawn the proposal.

This decision does not affect the existing antler restriction program in WMUs 3C, 3H, 3J, and 3K.
