how did we do and what have we learned? I know that the last couple winters were very hard on the deer in the Adirondacks, plus the last few years of late ML...DEC changed the DMZ's so as to have no hunting in the late ML,so that should help in the years to come. There were way too many does and small deer killed during the last 2 or 3 years, all in one area. As for my season...I did get to hunt a lot...spent about 40+ days in the Northern zone...most days hunted from 5 hours to all day...I saw not one deer, not even a tail...but I enjoyed every minute in the woods...most hunters in the area say the same..they also saw very few deer...it was way too warm and there were not many hunters so deer just did not move during the day. Hunted by myself most of the time. The 4 or 5 times that there were 4 or 5 of us we did get manage to get 3 bucks (a sprike, a 5pt and an 8pt). The 8pt was gotten by my brother who had not shot a deer in 12 years so that was great...hunts2long
