Age of buck I shot

I shot a buck sunday in Cayuga county, I brought the buck to the checkstation @ Kingferry. The buck was a nice ten point, dressed weight of 181#. The buck looked very old and rut worn, it looked like it had lost a lot of weight. I saw the buck last year during bow season, and it looked at least 3.5. The young man @ the checkstation said it was 2.5 yrs. old. Any suggestions on getting a second opinion.

If I were you I would post a picture of the buck on the forum here and let some of the very knowledgeable people here take a stab at it.  I am pretty sure the DNR here in MN ages deer but you need the teeth of the deer to figure it out (correct me if I am worng).
