Chenango County?

Chenango County?

I may be losing my place to hunt east of the Taconic Parkway. Chenango County advertises more than 80,000 acres of public land available. I know this is a stretch but can anyone recommend lodging at a hotel/motel/B&B bordering state land?

call the chamber of commerce and you can also check out the DEC'S mapping page its pretty handy[;)]

There are motels near Norwich, which is the county seat for Chenango County and which is not too far from many acres of state forest land. There is a lot of state land; however much of it is in conifer plantations and not all of it is real good deer habitat. You really have to do your homework ahead of time to find good deer areas.
