Turkey Calls

I was wondering if anyone used Turkey Calls during Archery Deer Season since the two seasons run together . Would the deer be curious about the call and come in for a look / see ? Might shoot a turkeyinstead of a deer . My oldest son has only shot two turkeys so far and both of them have been during Bow season . Curious !
