Good luck to all that are going out this week. Be safe and successful.

Perfect weather for the opener with Tuesday the same. Lots of shooting around our woods, but nary a deer seen. Put in 11 hours on stand both days without without seeing a deer. The highlight of the hunt was when I disturbed the turkeys roosting around my tree stand the first morning. Do you know what the most amazing thing is...We had a lot of fun and can't wait for the weekend.
However, it would have been much more fun if deer were more involved in our hunt. Deer can be really rude at times. Hope you all had better luck.

After 32 hours of not seeing any deer, last Saturday I shot a mature doe who was trying to sneak through our woods. "Patients should be rewarded not tried", but I was beginning to wonder if a deer was ever going to come by.
