Elk shot in Ohio

On November 2 a Geauga county farmer shot a 7 X 7 bull Elk. It had travelled through Ashtabula and Trumbull counties before being shot in Geauga. The thinking is that it had broken free from a Pa. elk farm. Since Ohio has no regulations on elk, the farmer was allowed to keep the elk, though a portion of it was sent to test for CWD.
It went through the county that my farm is located and I was hunting during that period of time. Man, that would have been great to have it walk up on me. (I think)
