I was out Monday morning (the 5th) and saw three does. Two were traveling together on the way to some hardwoods. As the leaves are still on the trees I did not have a clear shooting lane, but I'll be back out this weekend.

Went out last night(Wed.) saw 3 does and another 1 that not sure about . None were close enough for a shot. It was the first time on this farm and I set up in kind of scout stand and got confirmation on where I thought the deer were bedding. They probably passed within 10 yards yards of another of my stands so hopefully just a matter of time.

Went out yesterday morning to the logged farm, seeing alot of deer coming out of the fields. I think I finally got their post logging tendencies figured out. I went out before the rain hung 4 new stands, hopefully will have a success story to share soon.

On another note, just got called back to work after being layed off for over 8 months. I'm very grateful, but I won't have time to hunt since I will not have any vacation built up, looks like I'll be hitting it hard on the weekends.

Two bucks came out into the plowed cornfield the last 30 min. of legal time. The bigger one came my way and I took the shot with my crossbow. He dropped 70yrds away in some apple trees. The shot was at 38yrds. I practiced at 35yrds. in the summer, so my shot was a little low. I did manage to get both lungs. I lucked out.

Great deer 3 to 1, congrats.

Sunday is the next time I'll get out, hoping to see something. I had a pretty slow weekend, by slow I mean I saw nothing. I am starting to see alot of good size rubs around my stands though.

I went out this afternoon and had deer all around my stand. I seen a total of 12 with 8 being bucks but only one shooter and  he would not come across the field into bow range. So i had to watch him for 30 min feed along the field edge before going back into the woods.

Hey guys,

New to the forum and new to bow hunting.  I live down in Brown County.  Last several nights, I have been seeing a lot of doe running through out the day, the bucks were running around together a week ago, but I am starting to see them moving alone.
