Using deer calls in early season

How affective is deer calls in early season?

i don't tend to use calls that much in early season, but they can work, just like other times of the year.  deer aren't super vocal animals, but they do use their 'sounds' year around.  maybe more so during the rut.  fawn bleats have been known to bring in not only curious does but also bucks.  give it a try...can't hurt and if you're anything like me, you learn while you're afield!  best of luck!
