A prominent biologist, Ben Koerth, said that west of I-35 you only get a summer food plot to make about once every 5 years. So I've been thinking instead about planting shrubs, the only one I know of at this point is Japanese honeysuckle. Is this a good idea? Are there other shrubs or some food plot ideas that will work in dry, drought-prone areas?
Thanks,
Brett Becker
