I thought this was an interesting story that really shows how everything is related and gives a little insight on Wisconsin's paper industry and how it affects other parts of the economy, including hunting.
I honestly think we can replace those paper mill jobs with hunting and tourism industry jobs if we follow through on the DNR's elk reintroduction plan, start a bison reintroduction study, and convert some of the land that was invested for the paper making industry into better habitat to support more renewable resources. Keep this thought in mind as you read this story. It's a little long, but worth reading and discussing as to what the future holds and where we want the economy to go as hunters. Are you the next, Bla Yao Vang?
