9 day regular gun hunt

A lot of public land is starting to mature and not providing great food/bedding areas.  Although around my neck of the woods, the 6 deer shot that I know will probably affect the herd at a local level.  Still, I didn't hear as much shooting around Stevens Point or the Appleton area.  My Dad's doe was the only deer seen by him or I around Stevens Point.  The 4 pt I got on Thanksgiving was the only deer I had seen.  There are probably some deer out there but not as many as in the past few years.  SOme of the other hunters I know in both areas said the same thing. 
 
mtnman:  An archery club I belong to has a cabin in Florence.  Haven't heard about the deer season, maybe a few deer shot but not much.

Osty....You know the name of the club and where the cabin is located?

mtnman:  It's Elm City Bowhunters and they are from the South, in Calumet/Sheboygan county.  Don't know the exact road but it leads into town.  Only been to the house/cabin once and that was ages ago.  Mainly use it for bear hunting, some bow deer and gun deer hunting.
