Wolf River Hunter:

I hunt from Wednesday afternoon to the end of the regular gun season in Hortonville, just East of CTY G .  In-laws have some farm land but not much is wooded.  Talked to some hunters who have been there for about 30 years and I know they shot at least 3 bucks and a doe.  I managed a 4 pt on Thanksgiving.  Even these guys (who also told me about 10 years ago that there were no deer there) that there wasn't much going on and they bow, gun and muzzleloader hunt.  This time I believe them because:
-Lack of tracks
-Lack of shots in the area
-Lack of deer that I had seen.
Even with the fields I didn't see deer running at long distances like I have in the past.
