With the recently completed gun-deer season in the books, many of
Wisconsin's deer hunters are crying foul. In short, hunters from across the
state believe the Department of Natural Resources deer management strategy
has finally reached a tipping point where deer numbers have crashed in some
areas.
The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board will convene next week, and the topic
of deer populations and densities is sure to come up. Among those in
attendance will be members of the Conservation Congress, a group of
sportsmen who act as an advisory board.
