I like to climb at least 20' if I have the choice. There are a couple spots that I can only get up 15' and one spot that I go up 35' becasue it is very open and there are no evergreens to break up your outline. It seems that the higher you get, the less margin for error you have when judging distance. When rifle hunting out of the same tree that I go up in 35' with a bow, I go up another 10'. This gives me a great view of the hardwoods and the deer need binoculars to see me, however, I am not comfortable shooting my bow at 45'.
