Food plots

Postby Goose » Thu Sep 18, 2008 11:08 am

Do you put in food plots and if you do what kind. Seems like were I am in central WI the stuffs gotta be drought tolerant and has to battle some weed. Do you plant cool season annuals or perenials? Any good tips ? We tried to get corn in the last 2 years to no avail seems the drought always gets them plus the weeds didnt help. Were in a sandier soil so its even a little drier. This year we planted round up ready soybeans and am very pleased with them. We planted 3 acres and the deer hit it pretty hard. We just bought our own tractor so next year well be doing that field and also putting in some smaller hunting plots. Any ideas??
