Out of velvet?

I did some watching with the spotting scope last night and the bucks i seen were still in full velvet. Anybody see any out of velvet yet? This early opener might be our best chance at getting one in velvet!

Most of the deer around here have the velvet still....However there are a few that dont.. Goose, lets say you get a nice 6 or a normal 8pt..Will you get him mounted if he has the velvet on?

I saw two bucks yesterday. The giant was still in velvet and sticking around a doe. The 8 pointer lost the velvet and was bothering a doe, but both of them are in TN

Yeah we got 1 out of velvet on camera. Nice 2.5 year old 8 point. Have also gotten 3 1.5 year olds which are all in velvet. However, last week I saw a little spike that was out of velvet.

Deercamp, It sure would be tempting, I got a guy that charges 350 for a head mount and does a good job so I would more than likely get one in velvet mounted. Dont know if I could pull the trigger on a year and half though. 2 and half in velvet guranteed son!
