Locked bucks killed near Rosholt, WI

Postby retch sweeny » Mon Dec 06, 2010 11:48 pm

These two bucks were just killed by my brother-in-laws side of the family yesterday near Rosholt (Portage County)off of Hwy A. My brother met them at their place and took some pictures and sent them to me. Both were killed with a ML and were tagged by two brothers. (One is a taxidermist so he gets a bargain on the mounting) They were freshly locked together based on tracks in the snow and the condition of the deer. A 14 pt and a 9 pt.

The only fight left now is who gets to display the mount in whos house! Thanks for sharing.

Wow that's quite the hunt I would say, there seems to be alot of people finding locked bucks either dead or alive this year.

I think due to lack of DOES ....the boys need to have thier FUN......and with the low DOE numbers they are getting nasty lonely  :)

Please share more details from the hunt.  Were both deer alive when found?  What a story to remember!

Wow!  I've never come across something like this but I would imagine it'd be one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.  I've seen a lot of bucks fight, but nothing that gets permanently locked up!

Pretty neat. I lived in Stevens Point and know where Rosholt is. There are some big bucks taken out that way.
