Praying for a cold rut

Just read the D&DH article about a warm weather rut hunt. I like taking off the week that Nov 7-9 falls in every year. It has been 3 years since we needed long underwear and a Beene hat during this week in Wis. It has been cool on both sides but this week has been horrible with record warm weather.

It hit me when I read this article. I miss those frosty mornings with the crunch of deer chase in the frosty leaves and steam blowing out of the bucks nostrils. Hoping the trend is broken this year

I shot my buck Nov. 5th in 2010, and it was pretty cold that day. I borrowed my brother's Heater Body Suit just so I could stay on stand all day. It must have warmed up over the next few days.
