Well I must admit that I started this thread to do a little braggin myself, plus I couldn't believe a current year brag board hadn't been started yet.

This guy came walking past my stand about 5 minutes after sunrise, opening morning. He and two other bucks crossed a creek that separates a grass field and the bean field I was on. The trail they took could have been any better, it brought them out 15 yards away and 100% upwind of my location. I was able to make the shot as he snacked on the first row of of beans in the field I was over looking.

I knew I had been fortunate to harvest a mature whitetail as I had him guessed to be 4 or 5 based on the trail cam pics I have of him, but I was wrong. When I took him to the taxidermist the first thing he commented on was how grey faced he is. He checked the teeth and and came to the conclusion he was more likely to be between 7 and 9 years old. He may not be deer biologist but he has been doing taxidermy for nearly 30 years so I am gonna take his word. My taxidermist called me up a couple days later just to tell me that he had never seen a buck with so many scars in his neck, that buck must not have been scared of a fight.

He is 13 points (both brows tines split) has a 19" inside spread, and on October 1st had a 28" neck, I can only imagine what a site he would have been once he was all rutted up in novemeber! I didn't put a tape to him before I left him the taxidermist but I figure he will probly gross around 155". Even had he been 110", just knowing his age makes him a once in a lifetime trophy in my mind. You just don't get to see too many bucks make it to an age like that. Well thats the story of my Largest buck to date.

I shot a nice 8 pointer but when ai upload the picture it says my file is to big. is there a way to still upload the pics? I got it

I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager to resize mine because it was already installed on my computer, Plus it has preset definitions that make it really easy. You just need to remember change the file name of the picture and save it again so you keep the original sized picture as well. Other people have mentioned websites and downloads you can use to get the job done too, not sure what they are though. Hope this helps.

Yes,bouhntr, there are several ways to shrink or resize a photo, And I am no geek. It is preety easy once you know how. Easist way I know is to open the picture with paint, goto image, scroll down to resize, click. it will show horizonal and vertical at 100% (that is your picture now) delete and insert %50 in each place, and that will shrink it to half highXhalf wide. If it is still to big, do it again. keep the values even and your purportions will remain the same. Add or subtract as you need to, to get to the right size to suit you. You can also change it's format from a jpeg to a gif. It will lose a little clairity, but the file will be smaller. This should be simple for you, but if you have any problems let me know, and I will assist if I can. Remember to rename it to keep the origonal.
