Postby motorbreaker » Thu Sep 08, 2011 6:15 am

they are having a controled hunt at fort hill state memorial this year if anyone is interested.
its in Highland county. Very good place to hunt. As far as I know its never been hunted.
Seen a lot of big bucks in that area. $5.00 to get in the lottery.

Good luck on getting in on that. I've made it into Plumbrook and Ravenna Arsenal here in NE Ohio and they can be amazing hunts. Ohio's "Hole in the horn" buck was found just outside of the Ravenna Arsenal. His genes could still be around.

I have entered several lotteries, with ODNR and never even got notified as to when the drawing was. :(
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

Most of the results of the draw are on the DNR website

check the Ohio Division of Wildlife web site. Google ODOW and click on Lottery Hunts. It's pretty easy to navigate. Most of the state lottery site are already chosen. You have to enter by July 31st.
I just checked the site. Go to ODOW site and click on HUNTING AND TRAPPING, then scroll down to shaded area and click on CONTROLLED HUNTS. From there just follow the prompts.
