Watch Out for Squirrel Hunters

Postby Wanderer » Mon Nov 07, 2011 9:06 am

On saturday Nov 5th, a squirrel hunter in Indiana shot a deer hunter who was in an elevated stand. The shooter said he thought he saw a squirrel flick it's tail and shot twice Luckily, the shooter then helped his victim down and called 911 for him. Now you know why I only hunt private land. This is over close to where john1961 lives. That's probably why he hunts in Maryland.

Stories like this help me justify the cost of a lease to my wife and family. I hope the deer hunter makes a quick and full recovery.

So much for identifying your target before shooting.

If the story is correct, he thought he saw a tail? So he just shoots in the direction without a clear target? Kid or not, he needs to be hung from the nearest tree.
