Missouri Check-in

Hi All.
 
I hunt NW Missouri up near the Iowa border - about 2 miles south, maybe 10 miles east of I-35.  Have 100 acres I have owned with my brother since since 2002.  I bow hunt, gun hunt, muzzle loader hunt, and when I'm not hunting we're finding something to do to improve the property.

Any good public hunting areas for a muzzleloader?

Then choose the North East region, I believe it tends to have the largest deer population.
 
I cannot attest to the quality of any of the public areas.

I am a bit of a border jumper. I live in Iowa and hunt a few properties there, but the hunting ground I own (and will retire to some day) is in No. Missouri. In fact I'm only a few miles SW of ranwin33. Small world.
 
I take advantage of all the seasons, but archery is my real love. It gets a little crowded once rifle opens.

Hey Ranwin,
 You ever see any rattle snakes around there? I used to work with a guy that had some ground not far from yours. He brought a rattle snake to work one day and said he killed it on his farm about 40 miles NW of Chillicothe.

Can't say as I have seen any rattlesnakes. Thank God.  I don't like snakes.  Oddly in the six years we've had our place I've only seen two snakes total.
