Didn't do so hot this year in MI
Deer weren't moving.
Corn was still in, wind was out of control, always next year I suppose.
Getting ready for our Zone here in FL to open up rifle in a couple weeks.
Hopefully it will cool off!!!
I wanted to hit archery again this w/e, i'm just over the whole sweaty, mosquito type hunting!! Bring me some cooler weather!

One last chance to hunt archery before rifle season opens up next week
Sitting in my tree with my bow hoping for one last chance. Spooked a few deer on the way in the am, heard 3 bp shots about an hour or so ago. And it's getting hot with that sun. Cold front tomorrow should push the nightly lows onto the high 40's. Today itll be in the 80s

View from my stand
2 weeks ago they started moving around lunchtime. We'll see today

Nothing moving.

Did get some game pics from the land owner
Appears the bucks are still running together. Have a pic of 5 does and 3 bucks feeding.
Might still be another 3 weeks til things get moving.

We'll see after the next moon in a couple weeks, maybe that and a good frost will get the girls warm.

Now into rifle season.........seeing deer, most often not presenting a clear shot or they are does or too small bucks.
Really not see any chasing, running of do, etc.
I did rattle up a 3 point opening weekend. Not sure we've really hit a peak chase phase maybe its early early search phase

Me and the wife went up to Indiana for opening of gun season! We seen alot of bucks this year I ended up with a 9-p seen a great 10-p and a 8-p and several smaller in antler size. Can't wait till next year!

I have hunted the river swamp a few times at home seen very little alot of people are starting to hunt the swamp up this way! Im hopeing they get burned out before the rut kicks in January, if not I guess will have to make due of the situation.. I bought 40 acres and put a camera up on it before I left to head back to work for afew days had a few pics of some spikes I guess when I get done with the property I can deer watch out my window lol
