I too have about 8# of ground, a pack or two of steak, and I think maybe one roast.

I have a couple packs of salami, couple packs of pepper sticks and probably about 20lbs of 50/50 beef/venison left. This will all be gone by the start of our archery season in about a month.

we use venison/beef split for everything from burgers to Barbeques to tacos.

So my househol donly buys beef about once a year and that is when its time to butcher our deer and fill the freezer up!

I have several vaccumed bags of Deer Jerky, butterflied loins and rolls of Deer Bologna/Sausage.The Wife already warned me if I get a deer or 2 during Bow Season and another 2 during Rifle Season I need to give some away or to the Brother In-law so he has some Deer meat. He's handicapped when he hunts....do you realize how hard it is to shoot a deer with a 12 oz beer in one hand and a gun in the other? We are running low too. Probably no more than 10 lbs left from 5 deer we shot last year. There's 3 of us that live in the house and we eat deer meat almost every single day. We don't know what beef is in this house.

Im out and season doesnt open for two more weeks! My wife and I went through 3 deer from last year. We had bacon and hotdogs made and the rest went into hamburger or steaks. Cant beat it!

I've still got too much in the freezer. We mix our sausage 50/50 with pork for the brats and summer sausage. I need to make more jerky next year. maybe 15-20 lbs left. So, I'll donate the first one this year to the local "Hunters for the Hungry" program.

Don't be picking on a defenseless little deer meat eating kitty cat!  He would hunt them too, if he was bigger! [;)]
