Even me. Didn't thought of that to happened. Severe accidents do happened today.

Regarding to the accident, I'd best suggest not to go out shooting when you feel a lil bit uneasy with yourself. Especially when aging comes in hand.

What I haven't heard mentioned, he was shot at dusk, (not enough light) if there was a scope, low light is a problem. Older man nearly 60, does he require glasses? Did he have them?

From What I understand Australia has banned crossbows. Here we read of a Aussie man that killed another with a crossbow.

OK, a 17 year old totes a loaded crossbow to a friends house, sets it on a desk, (with the safety catch on) and sits IN FRONT OF IT. What is the rule with safeties? Always use them NEVER trust them! It should not have been loaded until use, and stupid is as stupid does!
